Fragments of Soil and Thread

textile object (160×80 cm) made of jute, recyled cotton & linen dyed with litmus, soil & minerals | 2025

The work consists of elongated fabric tubes in natural, earthy tones – ranging from warm browns to soft beige and rosy hues. Each strip is individually dyed with litmus, soil, minerals, and charcoal, giving it a unique texture. The fabric tubes and ribbons, made from jute, recycled cotton, and linen, are interwoven to create a graphic grid – like a stylized map or a woven mosaic.

The interplay of color, material, and structure evokes agricultural fields seen from above, or a textile map in which each plot tells its own story.
